ABOUT THIS PROPERTY

Delivering in summer of 2021 by Jared Everett while at Greystar, Hornet Commons at Sacramento State University represents a significant development project aimed at enhancing student housing options. This initiative focuses on providing modern, comfortable, and convenient accommodation for students attending Sacramento State. Hornet Commons addresses the growing demand for on-campus housing and improve the overall student living experience. The development includes the construction of new residential buildings equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and amenities tailored to student needs.


The development adds 1,100 beds in 284 sleek apartment-style rooms, marking a significant increase in the university's housing capacity. The $168 million project, open to all but first-year students, offers a range of amenities including a swimming pool, fitness center, and Einstein Bros. Bagels café. Fully furnished apartments come equipped with modern amenities like dishwashers, 55-inch 4K TVs, and washers and dryers. Hornet Commons aims to provide housing options tailored to juniors, seniors, and graduate students, fostering a sense of community and supporting student success. The project, initiated in June 2019, underscores the university's commitment to ensuring student well-being and academic achievement.


Hornet Commons represents a significant investment in student well-being and academic success, aiming to create a vibrant and inclusive campus community at Sacramento State University and has been proved such as success the University is already contemplating a Phase II.Recognizing the challenges of housing affordability and accessibility in Hawaii, the University committed to providing employees with affordable housing options near the campus, developing 388 units of units. 


Key objectives of the project, spear headed and overseen by Jared Everett prior to joining Pinnacle, include ensuring affordability, proximity to campus, and quality amenities. The housing units will be priced competitively to accommodate the diverse income levels of employees and will be conveniently located near the university campus, reducing commute times and enhancing work-life balance.


The university will incorporate sustainable design principles into the construction and management of the housing units, promoting energy efficiency and minimizing environmental impact. By addressing the housing needs of its employees, the University of Hawaii has already had an impact on recruitment and retention efforts, fostering a sense of community, and contributing to the overall well-being and satisfaction of its workforce.
